About Me

I have always been interested in helping others, that's just my nature. Before becoming a Beachbody coach and a stay home mommy to my beautiful little girl, I had worked in the health care field for 10 years and I loved it! I loved feeling that I was making a difference in others' lives and helping them on their journey to health. It also exposed me to how important it is to take care of our own health. So many of the issues and diseases I had seen could have been prevented, treated, and reversed if those people would just take accountability for their own actions and treat themselves better by eating healthier and creating a fitness regimen for themselves. This was an eye opener for me. I did not want to end up with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, organ damage..(I could go on and on!) like so many other Americans and I did not want my daughter to have to struggle with those issues either as she grew up.

Growing up, I was taught to finish my plate, even if I was full. I was often given second and sometimes third helpings of food and, like many kids in the 80's and 90's, I ate my fair share of boxed meals like Hamburger Helper but my mother also served us much healthier foods too. It is the norm to snack on junk food and constantly munch on food for every occasion. While I was very active and fit in my teens and early 20's, I later had issues with weight gain and the inability to keep weight off resulting in self esteem issues. I do not want my daughter to feel like this so I am making  changes now that will hopefully create a positive lifestyle for her and make eating healthy and fitness second nature to her instead of something she will dread later on in life.

When I became a stay at home mom, my focus was on my daughter but I still felt like I should be doing more. After months of trying to get fit and eat right on my own, I started to get discouraged because I just wasn't seeing the progress I wanted and expected. I had been thinking about doing the 21 Day Fix  with Shakeology for a long time but always talked myself out of getting it due to the price. Looking back now, I realize that it truly is an amazing value for what you get but I was looking at it as a shake instead of as 30 nutritionally complete meals like it really is.

 Going from 2 incomes to one was a big adjustment for me and so I decided to find ways to save and cut costs where I could and ended up also finding ways to make money and get awesome things for free in my free time at home! I ended up doing so well at this that I was able to pay for all of our Christmas gifts (and it was a lot!) without touching my husband's earnings! So I kept at it and was able to quickly earn enough to afford the program.

21 Day Fix ExtremeA friend of mine was a coach and recommended that since I had already been working out and eating healthy that I should go right into the 21 Day Fix Extreme program, so that is what I did. I'm not going to lie, it is a little intense at first but that's what I wanted because I wanted fast results. Although I was eating healthy before this program, I was really shocked to see how much I was over eating before. The program really opened my eyes to what correct portion sizes are and how much of each food type I should be consuming daily. After following the meal plan and workouts, I was
finally seeing results and FAST! Before I was doing 45-90 minute workouts daily and never seeing the scale budge other then going up. Now, after only 5 days I was down 3 pounds! The first 11 days I went down 8 pounds and I kept losing! The most exciting thing for me was that I knew it wasn't water weight, it was fat! My stomach was getting flatter and that annoying pouch above my C-section scar was finally going away. My hips were slimming down and that chub where my legs connected with my butt was also diminishing. My husband was also enjoying the change and couldn't keep his hands off me.. although I wasn't always super excited about that part.. haha! So Ladies and gentleman be warned, doing this program can cause extra and perhaps unwanted positive attention from your partner or others!
